Greg Peel

Greg Peel has over 35 years’ experience in banking and finance covering corporate banking, capital markets, trade finance and established Bendigo and Adelaide Banks business banking and asset finance divisions. 

Greg was Co-Founder, CEO and Managing Director of Community Sector Banking (CSB) and held that position for 13 years. Through Greg’s leadership CSB grew to over $1billion in balance sheet and over 11,000 NFP customers. With a focus to enhance the capacity and capability of the community sector, CSB built a strong reputation as an innovator and solution provider. Greg has been integrally involved in the development of social enterprise and impact investment markets, including the development of Social Enterprise Finance Australia (SEFA) where he served as Director.

 As you are aware, Greg also held the position of Director of Business Development with NSW Aboriginal Land Council with a focus of developing NSWALC’s corporatisation strategy, including the development of NSWALC Enterprises as a platform for an Aboriginal led CHP.

 Greg is known for his innovation and solutions focus and has been engaged in assisting Aboriginal communities exploring improved wealth creation strategies including, home ownership, rent to buy models and enterprise development strategies. This experience has covered organisations including Cape York Partnerships, Kimberly Land Council and Miriuwung Gajerrong Corporation in Kununurra.
