We work with organisations and individuals to support individuals, families and communities in Australia who are experiencing disadvantage, whether these are immediate or intergenerational.
Australian Social Investment Trust (ASIT) aims to break the cycle of disadvantage through partnering with government, non-government, philanthropy and community. Our priority is Australia’s most vulnerable individuals, families, cohorts and communities.
Through our current initiatives, we are working to serve three vulnerable groups in the community:
- through our Collective Impact work co-delivering the Our Place initiative, we help those facing poverty in social housing estates in the Illawarra/Shoalhaven region of NSW
- through our Amplifying Social Impact services, we worked with Settlement Services International (SSI), which supports newly arrived refugees, emerging communities and other vulnerable people
- through our SI-3 Social Innovation, Impact and Investment initiative, we support young people leaving out-of-home care who are at significant risk of homelessness.
